Blog Disaster and Italy ‘Grams…

By February 3, 2013January 6th, 20164 Comments

Well the good news is, my new website is finally up and running smoothly! The bad news is, during the migration, somehow ALL of the images on my blog were lost – so I’ve decided to just start from scratch with a fresh new blog concept for 2013. Oh and breaking news, I found the images but had already deleted all of my old posts. I could kick myself but I won’t since I’ve already decided to go all tabula rasa. I’d like to get in the habit of posting more than just my shoots and I’ve decided to make this blog a bit more personal and incorporate more about myself, my life and the shooting I do in my down time, in addition to all of my work from hmn. So on that lovely note, I’d like to FINALLY share some of my favorite instagrams from Italy. I have been meaning to post these since we got back [last September] and there’s no time like the present!

We had an unfortunate encounter with a guy trying to sell us our portraits at the Trevi fountain – but luckily, we escaped with the cute instant photo above and less than a euro spent!

The colosseum was really amazing – It was fun to imagine all the crowds seated to watch the gladiators duke it out.

One word: Gelato. I ate it every single day. The pistachio was my absolute favorite.

We stayed in an apartment in Rome, in Trastevere, one of the younger neighborhoods. It gave us a great peek into the lives of Romans. Our Italian was virtually non-existent, which was sometimes challenging in the non-touristy areas, but we made it work!

The Vatican was spectacular – I was in awe all day.

Obviously, the art and architecture in Rome and Florence are BEAUTIFUL. My favorite thing to do was wander into a little piazza and just linger, watching the crowds.

Italy is one of my goal places… My Italian (even after 2 years of attempting) is useless regardless.

    Love the shots.

Gelato is amazing. You can get it here at Whole Foods and places like that.

    What an amazing trip!

Sam – Have you had Zingerman’s gelato? Yum, it’s amazing! I think you should have a gelato bar for your wedding! Lol!
