I think the Wallace family is one of Ypsilanti's favorite families. Husband/wife team Ryan and Bekah help run Cultivate Coffee & Taphouse, a non-profit cafe and event space in Ypsilanti, MI committed to ending hunger. If you've ever been there, you've probably been greeted by Bekah, who is quick to offer up a warm smile and a bit of conversation to anyone who walks through the door. One of my goals for 2017 is to offer up family sessions that *feel* more genuine, rather than *look* perfectly posed. What a dream of an evening this was. My good friend Brittany Campbell had suggested a shoot in this field of Queen Anne's lace near her home, followed by a trip over to their neighborhood lake. We were able to convince Laura Huston   to bring her husband over for a couples session/summer evening gathering.  The goal was an easy, low pressure shoot with people I truly admire both personally and creatively.
