A little farm outside of Ann Arbor on a warm, spring evening was the setting for this family session. I walked into a beautiful old farmhouse, gratefully accepted a glass of wine and began photographing a family that I had never met, yet felt instantly connected to. We wandered inside and out, casually snapping photographs as the three kids warmed up to both me and camera. It had been a rough weekend; my mom had been hospitalized, having undergone an emergency surgery and I was eager to set worries aside for a few hours and focus on something else. The…
This intimate, in-home e-session was the perfect mix of casual and chic. The day was SO gorgeous, I think the temperature hit 80 degrees! We were able to do a few photos on the front porch with the pup. I love how these images turned out, so. much. love. I can’t wait for Sonya and David’s wedding this August! Intimate weddings are my absolute favorite thing ever. They’re relatively stress free for the bride and groom and it’s a simpler way to share the day with those who are closest to you. This small wedding took place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Ferndale, MI. The late afternoon light was spectacular and this tiny church couldn’t have been sweeter.
