I’m never a fan of winter engagement shoots, mainly because I’m not a fan of winter itself. I hate being cold and I’m always afraid of photos featuring red, sniffly noses. Lucky for us, we were able to start our session inside the McGregor Memorial Center on Wayne State University’s campus in Detroit. This building is so funky and we were all loving the mid-century modern vibe which I tried to capture in this set of photos. It’s always exciting to discover a new location and I found myself wanting to return during the spring to see the reflecting pools and sculpture garden located just outside the building.

The snow fell as we were wrapping up outside and by that point we really didn’t mind at all. It was a wonderful afternoon + I’m looking forward to capturing Liz and Blair’s wedding this summer. Also, that metallic skirt with the polka dots is my new favorite. So cute!
