One of my goals for 2017 is to offer up family sessions that *feel* more genuine, rather than *look* perfectly posed. But I have to admit, I’m tired of reading commonly used words like, “authentic” and “lifestyle” to describe this type of photography. Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty of using both of these words ALL the freaking time and I get it, we’re all going for the same thing — honesty. So as I started the year out, I thought, “don’t worry too much about how to describe and define your work, just do it.” It’ll end up becoming obvious to those who appreciate it & want to choose me out of a sea of other talented folk [and trust me, there are many ’round here.] My approach is simple: your family at home, doing the things your family loves to do. That’s it. I’ll provide direction [because the best light doesn’t just follow us around] & some helpful suggestions to make sure you look your best.
